Hello band parents:

I would like to thank you for returning all of the forms and taking care of the individual accounts for our summer tour! It looks like we will have a great band, auxiliary group, and chaperone group heading to New York and Washington D.C.! There are even 2 groups that will be traveling along with us through our agent Sara Durham at Hanson Travel Ideas! That has never happened before, and it is very exciting.

CMEA FESTIVAL

Next week is CMEA Festival, and I would like to invite all parents who are able to come to the Buck Shaffer Theater at noon on Tuesday March 2 to hear the band perform our CMEA program. This is especially for people who are unable to hear our Friday 3:30 performance for the judges, but both performances are free and open to all. Anytime we can play in front of a live audience, it makes us that much better, and that's what we want, so if you can make one or both performances, please do. The Friday performance generally attracts a large crowd, and we sure do like seeing and hearing a supportive crowd. I am confident that the band will impress you with their fine musicianship. I am very proud of the work that has gone into this program.

FUND RAISING

We currently have tickets for the 50" TV, IPOD'S, from WALMART DISTRIBUTION CENTER and a WATCH from DAVID HOROWITZ JEWELERS available, as well as tickets for the chicken dinner which will be held March 26th after school in the PHS Science parking lot. Candy is continuing to be ordered, truck tickets are available and two books need to be sold by each student before May 7 when we give the vehicle away. All East Coast fund raising wraps up on May 7 so we can concentrate on music the final few weeks before we leave for New York.

PARENT MEETING CHANGE AND CHICKEN DINNER

Our next parent meeting is not scheduled until March 25, and I would like to change it to March 11 so we are able to plan for our chicken dinner. If you know you would like to help, please contact Dawn McMaster dawnmcmaster@hotmail.com

We are always need lots of help and have a lot of fun at the drive through dinners. If you haven't helped out yet, why not let Dawn know and come on down to help out. The more organized we can be, the faster we can serve the people.
